Lake Natron

This area around the lake Soda Lake Natron is one of the original landscapes in East Africa. It is a Masai dwelling .The Masai around this area have kept their traditional way and are hardly influenced of the modern culture. Lake Natron harbors millions of birds making it a birder's ecstasy. Given the fact that this landscape is inaccessible, it was unnecessary to protect it under the National Park administration.

Never the less the area around lake Natron has got more attractions. Come and take a river walk with two waterfalls, a hike across the Soda Lake with flamingos, where giraffes and other animals are often seen. Hiking up to the Oldonyio Lengai, an active volcano, is one of the significance of an adventures Safari: Oldonyio Lengai is located in the heart of the Great Rift Valley and has erupted fifteen times in the past century. A rigorous adventure hike to the top of the "Mountain of God" offers an opportunity to view molten lava (magma). From there you have great views of the surrounding landscapes.
