Ruaha Park / Selous Game Reserve - Days 5 - SAS12

The journey will see you leaving behind Dar es Salaam and the humid, low lying coastal belt. You pass the Sisal plantations and begin to get glimpses of the beautiful Uluguru Mountains that soar above the plains and the town of Morogoro. The highway then posses through Mikumi National Park and you will get the opportunity to view the game. Beyond Mikumi the road climbs the Kitonga hills which are part of the Udzungwa Mountains.

Day 1: Dar-es-Salaam - Ruaha National Park
Pick up from your hotel and drive with packed lunch to Ruaha. The journey will see you leaving behind Dar es Salaam and the humid, low lying coastal belt. You pass the Sisal plantations and begin to get glimpses of the beautiful Uluguru Mountains that soar above the plains and the town of Morogoro.

The highway then posses through Mikumi National Park and you will get the opportunity to view the game. Beyond Mikumi the road climbs the Kitonga hills which are part of the Udzungwa Mountains. The road then follows the Great Ruaha river and then climbs the Great Rift Escarpment and then past Iringa town and onto Ruaha National Park. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge/Mwagusi Camp / Mdonya Camp / Jongomero Camp

Day 2 + 3: Ruaha National Park
Two full day game drive in Ruaha National Park. Dinner overnight at Ruaha River Lodge / Mwagusi Camp / Mdonya Camp / Jongomero Camp.

Day 4: Ruaha National Park - Selous Game Reserve
After breakfast depart for Selous Game Reserve with packed lunch. Visit and swim in the hot springs which emerge into pools of varying temperature. Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp / Selous Safari Camp/Sand Rivers Camp.

Day 5: Selous Game Reserve - Dar-es-Salaam
Early morning game drive in the Selous. After breakfast drive back to Dar es Salaam with packed lunch arriving early afternoon. Drop off at your hotel / Airport or Zanzibar Tour.
