Selous / Mikumi / Ruaha - 9 Days - SAS11

This Itinerary will take you to the famous parks in the southern circuit. The parks hosts small and large mammals including variety of birds species and reptiles, accommodation can be at the standard or luxury lodges, luxury Tented camp or budget camping sites. Accommodation can be in lodge, tented camp or basic camping booked on full board arrangements.

Day 1: Dar es Salaam - Selous Game Reserve
Leaving Dar es Salaam for Selous Game Reserve with lunch along the way; after unpacking proceed with game drive along Rufiji River for few hours before sunset. Dinner and overnight at the on of the Selous Camps / Lodge

Day 2: Selous Game Reserve - full day
Walking Safari to the Selous Game Reserve, starts early in the morning with the guidance of an armed ranger, takes 2-3 hours before you return to the camp for lunch and relaxing, late afternoon proceed with game drive until the sunset. Walking excursions offer a good chance of seeing giraffe, zebra, elephant and birds in a close range; overnight at Selous Camp

Day 3: Selous Game Reserve - full day
Game drive then return to the camp for lunch and rest. Late afternoon proceed with 3 hours boat excursion in one of ox-bow lakes in the Rufiji River. Dinner and overnight at Selous Camp

Day 4: Selous Game Reserve - full day
Embark on a full day game drive. Starting in the morning and ending in the evening after Sunset - Lunches will be picnic away. Accommodation at Sable Lodge

Day 5: Selous Game Reserve - Mikumi National Park
After breakfast, drive to Mikumi (Picnic lunch on the way). Dinner and overnight at Mikumi Camp / Lodge

Day 6: Mikumi National Park - Ruaha National Park
Early morning breakfast and depart for Ruaha National Park. Lunch enroute; then proceed to Ruaha National Park, Dinner and Overnight at Dinner overnight at Ruaha River Lodge / Mwagusi Camp / Mdonya Camp / Jongomero Camp

Day 7: Ruaha National Park - full day
Full day game drive safari in Ruaha National Park, starting with sunrise game drive, picnic lunch in the bush: the game viewing will concentrate along the Ruaha River Banks; and then proceed with sunset wilderness game drive. Dinner and overnight at Dinner overnight at Ruaha River Lodge / Mwagusi Camp / Mdonya Camp / Jongomero Camp

Day 8: Ruaha National Park - Mikumi National Park
After sunrise game drive and breakfast, start driving back to Mikumi National Park for late afternoon game drive, overnight at Mikumi Camp

Day 9: Mikumi National Park - Dar es Salaam
Morning game drive, when you will be driving to Dar es Salaam / Airport or transfer to Zanzibar.
